This was Diesel. I had him from two weeks old. His momma was undernourished, and unable to care for him, so I took him in. I bottle fed him, and he was like my own child. He made me smile every day. He loved people. And other dogs. And cats. And life. He never so much as barked his disapproval at a squirrel in his whole life. And he was a Pit Bull. He had only lived nine months in this world, when a thoughtless, selfish act took him from me. A neighbor took it upon himself to poison Diesel, because he was a Pit Bull, and was therefore “unsafe”. We have since moved, and let another wonderful Pitty into out family, but the hole left by that mans hateful actions can never be filled. The ignorance and intolerance involving pit bulls is unacceptable. If they are bred right and raised right, they can be the best dogs. And if you have a concern about whether a dog is safe to be around, talk to the owner and maybe do some research. Don’t take it into your own hands to end a LIFE.
I feel that this needs to be shared….
